Topo Klettersteig Sulzfluh

The "via ferrata classic" in the Rätikon leads at the back of the valley of St. Antönien through the south face to the summit of the Sulzfluh. The alpine route convinces with a lot of rock contact and requires a good condition. Challenging and quite long route. Some exhausting steep passages and very airy crossings. Beautiful summit tour for experienced via ferrata hikers.

Description

In the lower part stepped rock with several shorter steep passages. Shortly after the start of the route is the entry ladder to overcome the first wall. It presents a small challenge and gives the viewer the opportunity to check his self-assessment. Continue to the "Obelixquergang" and up to the beginning of the ramp. From here on there is no possibility to get out!

After climbing the "ramp" you reach the "Geissrücken" and finally the "Bänkli". Middle of the route. This is followed by a longer crossing over a grass band before the second, steeper part begins with the entrance to the "Panoramica". Particularly impressive are the transverse passages in the almost vertical plate shots. Fascinating deep insights.

After the entry in the wall book, it continues about a small upswing until finally the entrance to the "Wailing Wall" is reached. This physically strenuous part of the route leads to a short "bridge" that instructs the walker in the "summit wall". Now it's done!

After a nudge into the maintenance fund, it goes in a few minutes to the summit cross of the Sulzfluh at 2817 m above sea level.M. Magnificent panoramic view, earned by physical exertion. Who knows them all, the valleys, ridges, peaks...

Important hints and tips
We generally recommend that inexperienced and beginners hire a patented guide. All accesses lead via marked hiking trails.

  • Walk the via ferrata only with the necessary experience.
  • For a safe ascent, good physical condition, sure-footedness and a head for heights are a prerequisite.
  • Appropriate equipment is mandatory. Rope harness, via ferrata set, helmet, good footwear, suitable clothing and gloves are essential.
  • Entry only in constant weather. In thunderstorms, the ascent of the via ferrata is life-threatening.
  • Always be careful and do not trigger a rockfall.
  • Respect flora and fauna. Do not leave any waste.
  • Each inspection is at your own risk.
