Pressure
Description
England, June 1944: Under the supreme command of US General Eisenhower, the largest amphibious invasion in history is imminent. Yet whether the Allied landing in Normandy succeeds depends on a single, unpredictable factor: the weather. In the crucial 72 hours leading up to D-Day, the British Chief Meteorologist must issue the most momentous weather forecast of his life. As the pressure mounts inexorably, he finds himself in a bitter conflict with the Allied military leadership. Only a few hours remain to identify the narrow window of opportunity that could determine the success or failure of the invasion – and with it, the fate of millions of people.
