Berghaus Sulzfluh

Description

Even today, when you sit in the Berghaus Sulzfluh with good food and kerosene light, you can easily imagine yourself in the past. The "old parlour" offers space for around 60 people. There was not only dancing, laughing (and sometimes beating) here. A hundred years ago, many of your table neighbors today would have been a smuggler who would bring his goods to Austria tomorrow over the border passes. In 1875 the Berghaus Sulzfluh was built - the rooms as well as the restaurant were left in their original state. The new extension was built in 2003. The modern construction reflects the open-mindedness of your hosts and at the same time highlights the old house with its traditional history. The new parlour offers space for 18 people, the extended sun terrace offers space for around 80 people.

Please note that the Berghaus can only be reached on foot in winter. Approx. 1 hour's walk from the last parking lot in St. Antönien Rüti. In summer you can use the last parking lot below Berghaus. To unload people, you are allowed to drive up to the Berghaus, but there are no parking spaces available.
