Berghaus Sulzfluh
Description
Even today, if you sit in the Berghaus Sulzfluh with good food and kerosene lights, you can easily take yourself back in time. The "old parlour" offers space for around 60 people. Not only dancing, laughing, (and sometimes beaten) was done here. Many of your table neighbours today would have been a smuggler a hundred years ago, who would bring his goods over the border passes to Austria tomorrow. In 1875 the Berghaus Sulzfluh was built - the rooms as well as the restaurant were left in their original state. In 2003 the new extension was realized. The modern building reflects the open-mindedness of your hosts and at the same time highlights the old house with its traditional history. The new Stübli offers space for 18 people, the extended sun terrace offers space for around 80 people.
Please note that the Berghaus can only be reached on foot in winter. Approx. 1 hour walk from the last parking lot in St. Antönien Rüti. In summer you can use the last parking lot below Berghaus. To unload people, you may drive to the Berghaus, but there are no parking spaces available.
