Description
Berghaus Arflina, the start and end point of the hike, lies like sheltered in the middle of a grassy basin. The goal of the hike, the Mattjisch Horn, towers importantly over the high valley. It doesn't take long before you reach the Arflinafurgga, on the other side the gentle Schanfigg lies at your feet. Via the mostly grassy ridge, you ascend to Mattjisch Horn; the simple climb is also doable for children. A magnificent panoramic view rewards the short ascent.
The descent is sweetened by various ponds and small lakes. The two Clunerseen lie in the middle of a nationally significant moor area. Passing alpine meadows and the model flying area, you reach the mountain hut again in about 30 minutes. Except for those who are not deterred from a swim in one of the lakes. That takes a little longer...
Insider tips
Those who take the shuttle bus of the mountain huts up can ride down with the bikeboard or the scooter. An extremely fun finish!
Safety notice
None, orientation is easy, generally possible even without a map. Trouble-free and well-marked hiking trails. Do not leave the marked route in poor visibility.

Equipment
Good footwear, mountain hiking clothing adapted to the season, with poles it is easier, small backpack with water bottle and a small snack. A pocket knife and a map in the backpack are never wrong.

By Rhaetian Railway RhB to Küblis and by post bus to Fideris.
Travel Information
Via the A13 and the N28 to Fideris. Change to the Heuberge shuttle bus in Fideris. Bus must be reserved in advance! Berghaus Heuberge: Tel. +41 (0)81 300 30 70. It is also possible to drive to the Heuberge with your own car. A driving permit is required, which can also be obtained at the mountain hut.
Parking
Shortly after the village entrance, free parking spaces are available on the left side of the road. Parking is also free at Berghaus Arflina.
