Description

A leisurely hike far away from the big hiking streams on quiet mountain paths. Highlights along the way are the nature reserve at Lake Stelsersee and the suspension bridge (70m long) over the Grüsttobel. On this tour you get to know the Stelserberg and its surroundings from a whole new side!

Don't miss Lake Stelsersee! The hiking trail runs a little below and leaves the lake to the left. The short ascent to the lake and into the nature reserve is worthwhile - ideal place also for the lunch break, panorama over the whole Prättigau included.

If you climb a few minutes north from Lake Stelsersee to the broad ridge of the Stelserberg, you will discover much more: There are the large Rätikon limestone walls trellises!

On the way there are various cozy refreshment stops, so you save a lot of weight in the backpack!

Hassle-free and well-marked hiking trails. In case of poor visibility, do not leave the marked route.

Good footwear, mountain hiking clothing adapted to the season and a map in your backpack are recommended.

With the Rhaetian Railway RhB to Schiers and with the PostBus to Stels (timetable field 90.212).

Anreise Information

Via the A13 and the N28 to Schiers, you choose the 2nd exit you do not have to drive through the village. Follow the Schrabachstrasse and the signs for Fajauna / Stels. Follow the winding mountain road for about 9 km.
