The hike from Langwies to Klosters is demanding but the reward is unspoilt cultural landscapes and vast alpine areas. For an insight into the life of the Walser farmers, we recommend a visit to the Nutli Hüschi local history museum.

Description

From Arosa, you hike to the beautiful Walser village Medergen. Here, sunburnt wooden houses nestle closely together at 2000 m above sea level. Later, after the ascent and descent over Seebjiboden to Sapün, every house tells of the time when the Walsers lived year-round in this "wild valley." Along the old summer path, it goes to Langwies, once the center for the Walsers in the rear Schanfigg.
