The first mountaineering village in Switzerland The small Walser settlement of St. Antönien is located at 1450 m in the middle of a fantastic mountain world. The valley is a well-known hiking and ski touring paradise and at the same time the starting point for fascinating circular tours in the Rätikon area. A variety of peaks invite you to enjoyable ascents and wonderful descents. A favourite among the winter hiking trails is the approximately 9.5 km long route via the "Bodähütte" to Pany.

The bus alpine lines are connected to the PostBus line 90.222 (Küblis-Pany-St. Antönien) – with coordinated connections. The alpine bus operation is linked to the timetable and the SBB timetable.

Since mid-July 2018, electric car drivers have had the opportunity to charge their e-vehicles in St. Antönien. The AVIA VOLT (formerly PLUG'N ROLL) charging station is located at the P2 car park, right next to the village church and the Hotel Madrisajoch and is open to the public.
