«Amadeus» – In Concert

No film has staged Mozart's music as sensually as Miloš Forman's 1984 masterpiece "Amadeus", which won eight Oscars. Whether opulent balls or fast-paced carriage rides, handwriting brought to life in a quiet room or musical ecstasy on the big opera stage: "Amadeus" shows the full life. – and in the end also the shattering death of the musical genius. Mozart's moving story is told in retrospect from the perspective of the composer Antonio Salieri, who was broken by the genius of his competitor and therefore quarreled with God at the end of his life. In the proven manner, the City Light Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Kevin Griffiths will perform Mozart's works live such as the dramatically charged Symphony No. 25 in G minor or the touching slow movement of the "Gran Partita" played by a wind ensemble. For excerpts from choral works such as Mozart's Mass in C minor or the Requiem, excellence is also ensured by the Zurich Sing-Akademie.
