Bringing early music to life and charging it with energy - this is what the members of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra wanted when it was founded in 1987. Historical performance practice as a vitamin injection! The orchestra plays standing. The musicians are there with their whole body and move to the rhythms.

The artistic director Gottfried von der Goltz is a man of the first hour and celebrates 800 years of the monastery and the 35th anniversary of the orchestra with a glittering baroque festival at the concertmaster's desk. Francesco Corti, professor of historical keyboard instruments at the renowned Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, will illuminate Johann Sebastian Bach's Harpsichord Concerto in D minor. With George Frideric Handel's "Water Music" and other baroque concerti, further highlights are on the festival programme. This party is not to be missed.
