Klosters Music – Hollywood – Singin' in the Rain

Greta Garbo, Paul Newman and Gregory Peck have already been guests in Klosters. Gene Kelly even danced on the tables of the hotel bar at Chesa Grischuna. In his best-known musical film "Singin' in the Rain" from 1952, the Hollywood star stepped in the rain – and thus right into the heart of the international cinema fan community. After the huge success of «Cinema Paradiso» on a big screen at the last festival, the 70-member City Light Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Anthony Gabriele will provide the live, perfectly coordinated soundtrack to «Singin' in the Rain» this year. And accompanies the silent movie star Don Lockwood, portrayed by Gene Kelly, on his way to the first sound film and to a turbulent love story. Glitter and glamour move into the Arena Klosters. The tranquil spa town in the Alps will once again become "Hollywood on the Rocks" as it did in the 50s!
