«Old Style Bigband» at the Pentecost service

This year, swinging music awaits you at Pentecost on Sunday, June 5 at 10 a.m. in the Catholic Church Schiers. The congregation was able to win the Old Style Big Band for the Pentecost service. The Old Style BigBand was formed in 1984. At that time, some ambitious hobby musicians got together to make music together. The driving force at that time was Peter Mauder, a gifted trumpeter who worked as a music teacher in Prättigau. So the first band was called "Peters Salon Band" and later became the "Old Style Big Band". The musicians oriented themselves on the big big bands of this time, such as Max Greger, James Last or Herp Alpert, to name just a few. Visitors can expect a varied church service with swinging music, interpreted by almost 20 musicians from the Grisons and St.Gallen Rhine Valleys as well as from the Vorderprättigau.
