Ángela and Héctor are happily married. She is deaf but can read lips and Hector has learned sign language to make everyday life as easy as possible. But Ángela's pregnancy could change everything. Although parents-to-be try to be prepared for any situation, worries are increasingly emerging. Will your child be able to hear? And is that allowed to play a role at all?

"Sorda" is based on the short film of the same name by Eva Libertad. It premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and won the Panorama Audience Award. With great sensitivity and a differentiated view, the director explores the multi-layered relationship to a sensory impairment and its significance in society in her touching film.
