Von der Tourismusumfrage zur Tourismuszukunft im Prättigau

Tourism shapes the economy and life in the Prättigau/Davos region. But what does the local population think about it? What opportunities does she see, what problems does she recognize? And how is tourism developing in the Mittelprättigau and Vorderprättigau? What role do the municipalities play today, what should they play? Answers and assessments to these questions will be available on Thursday, May 21, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Palottis Education Center in Schiers. The event "From the tourism survey to the future of tourism in Prättigau" is organised by Regional Development together with the Prättigau/Davos real-world laboratory of the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons.

In the first part, Melanie Tamborini presents the findings of the survey conducted by the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons in 2025 among the population of the region. It shows that although tourism enjoys broad approval in all municipalities, there is also criticism. Afterwards, regional developer Georg Fromm will moderate a panel discussion with Thomas Gort (President of the Prättigau/Davos region), Nina Gansner (President of the region's tourism commission) and a representative of the tourism industry. In addition to acceptance, this will also address the added value or development opportunities of tourism in Prättigau. The event is aimed at the interested public, admission is free.
